The Vixens played host to Virginia, Virginia Tech and Mary Baldwin Jan. 27 for the SBC Winter Fencing Invitational.
Junior Kaelyn Leake (Sebastopol, Calif.) was the top performer for Sweet Briar, taking second in foil. Sophomore Jessica Pilgrim (Mobile, Ala.) took fourth in the event.
Juniors Cheryl Seaver (Burtonsville, Md.) and Leslie Price (Salem, Va.) both captured fifth in their events. Seaver fenced in epee, while Price competed in saber.
Sophomore Carina Finn rounded out the top-10 finishes for the Vixens. She placed 10th in epee.
