GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sweet Briar swimming made it three wins in a row Saturday afternoon, defeating host Greensboro College 64-21 and Hollins University 73-22 in Greensboro.
The Vixens swimmers took two relays and six individual events in the win. The team of Jennifer Milby ’08 (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis), Stephanie Perks ’09 (Warrenton, Va./Fauquier), Hannah Hesser ’10 (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) and Tori Marshall ’10 (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) kicked off the meet with a win in the 200 Y. medley relay (2:04.96). Vixens Melissa Simpson ’11 (Madison Heights, Va./Amherst County), Jessica Johnson ’09 (Woolwine, Va./Patrick County), Laura Wolf ’11 (Yorklyn, Del./Wilmington Friends) and Samantha Benito ’11 (Germany/Ramstein American) then teamed to end the meet with a win in the 200 Y. freestyle relay (1:58.32).
In the individual events, Simpson captured first in the 1000 Y. free with a time of 11:51.25 and the 100 Y. free with a time of 59:20.

Perks also captured two individual wins. She was victorious in the 400 Y. individual medley (5:13.56) and the 200 Y. breaststroke (2:46.61). Milby touched first in the 50 Y. freestyle (27:76), while Hesser swam the fastest in the 200 Y. butterfly, touching the wall in 2:31.47.
Sweet Briar returns to conference competition on Friday as the team travels to Lexington to take on Washington and Lee Unversity and Emory & Henry College.
