LYNCHBURG — Sweet Briar volleyball traveled down the road to Lynchburg College Saturday taking on Transylvania University and Southern Virginia University as part of a Hornet quad match. The Vixens came up short in both games falling 3-1 to Transylvania and 3-0 to Southern Virginia.
Lauren Foster ’11 (Evington, Va./Rustburg) add 34 more assists to sit at 492 for the season. First-year Cassidy Jones (Rustburg, Va./Rustburg) once again led the Vixens on attack. She knocked down 14 kills while only committing three errors in 35 attack opportunities for the two games. As a team the Vixens had 15 service aces on the day.
Sweet Briar hits the road again on Thursday as the team enters back into conference action. The Vixens face Eastern Mennonite at 6:30 p.m.
