Vixens Take on Royals in First Home Match Up of Season
The 2007 home soccer season opened Wednesday as Sweet Briar welcomed conference-foe Eastern Mennonite University to campus. The Royals netted three in the first and two in the second half to take the match 5-0, pushing the Vixens’ overall record to 1-4.

Junior keeper Kristen Johnson (Federal Way, Wash./Decatur) once again came up with some outstanding saves in net for the Vixens. She turned back 11 Royal shots to move her season total to 68.

The Vixens are back at home Saturday, taking on non-conference Mary Baldwin College at 1 p.m.
