FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Sweet Briar soccer wrapped up its weekend trip to North Carolina Sunday with a 5-0 loss at Methodist University. The loss moves the Vixens to 1-3 coming into their home opener on Wednesday.

The Vixens held the Monarchs to one goal through the first 45 minutes before surrendering four addition goals in the second frame. Junior goalie Kristen Johnson (Federal Way, Wash./Decatur) stopped seven shots in each half to finish with 14 on the day.

Sweet Briar hosts its first home game of the fall on Wednesday, hosting Eastern Mennonite University at 4 p.m.
