The Sweet Briar Friends of Library will host a discussion and tasting of table, wine and wild grapes presented by Cliff Ambers of Chateau-Z Vineyard at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 in the Browsing Room of Cochran Library. Ambers will talk about the challenges of sustainable grape growing in Virginia and his breeding program to develop new varietals suitable to the region’s conditions.
