WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - A Salem College goal in the first overtime period Tuesday put Sweet Briar College on the tough side of a 1-0 decision. The overtime loss moves the Vixens' record to 0-2 on the young season.
Junior keeper Kristen Johnson (Federal Way, Wash./Decatur) turned back 16 shots in the game, helping to keep the Spirits scoreless through regulation play.
Sweet Briar returns to the road Saturday as the Vixens travel to Peace College for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
