Bethlehem, Pa. — Sweet Briar volleyball ended play at the Greyhound Premier Volleyball Invitational Saturday with a win, taking its match with SUNY Institute of Technology 30-22, 30-15, 30-10. The Vixens wrapped up the Moravian tournament 1-3.
First-year Cassidy Jones (Rustburg, Va./Rustburg) led at the net with 14 kills against SUNY. Ashley Winters ’11 (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) and Blair Mullally ’10 (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) each had six kills apiece to help Lauren Foster ’11 (Evington, Va./Rustburg) collect 25 assists.

The Vixens opened the day with a tough five-game loss to Rowan University. Jones once again led the Vixen offense in kills, while Winters picked up a team-best 27 digs. Foster added 35 assists.
Sweet Briar returns to the court next weekend, traveling to Roanoke College to compete in the Roanoke Maroon Classic Saturday and Sunday.
