Ellis Captures VaSID First Team Honors

Krystal Ellis '08

Softball's Krystal Ellis '08 (Rustburg, VA/Rustburg) captured first team honors at first base as the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) named the college division All-State team on Wednesday.

The honor comes after Ellis batted .415 this spring with 37 RBIs and a team-best six home runs. Ellis compiled a .492 on-base percentage this season, striking out only nine times in 106 at bats. In the field, she committed just five errors.

Ellis was named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) first team in April.
