Registration is still open for the Bank of the James Friends of Athletics Golf Tournament May 4 at the Poplar Grove Golf Club.
Tournament participants will have the opportunity to win a 2007 Chevy Impala sponsored by Brockman Chevrolet-Subaru and a semester of free tuition or the cash equivalent in two separate hole-in-one competitions.
The captain’s choice tournament will also feature a “beat the pro” competition and $1,500 in prizes. Proceeds benefit the Sweet Briar College athletic program.
Golfers wishing to participate may register as individuals or as a four-person team. Registration fees are $150 for individuals and $550 for teams. Entry includes green fee, cart, boxed lunch, social, prizes, and Friends of Athletics
membership.
Tournament play begins at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start. A social for all participants will conclude the tournament.
