LEXINGTON — Tennis fell 6-3 to the fifth-seeded Roanoke College Maroons Saturday morning as the second day of play got underway at the 2007 ODAC Women’s Tennis Championships at Washington and Lee.
First-years Virginia Edahl (Charlotte, NC/Providence) and Blair Blincoe (Vienna, VA/Norfolk Academy) captured Sweet Briar’s three wins. Edahl and Blincoe teamed to take their doubles match at #1 8-2 then worked independently to win their singles matches at #1 and #2, respectively.
The Vixens will face #6 Guilford College for seventh place tomorrow. The match begins Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
