Following last semester’s completion of the new cardiovascular fitness and weight rooms, work began in December to renovate the women’s locker room, dividing the 2,900 square foot space into general-use space and four team rooms.
This Friday, April 20, the new general locker room and four team rooms will officially open, featuring new lockers, restrooms and shower facilities. Air conditioning also was added to the newly renovated spaces.

The New General Women's Locker Room
Gone are the blue lockers in the general locker room, replaced by new forest green lockers with mesh fronts. The new lockers are available in several different sizes for gym users. Team Rooms A and B are housed within the general locker room space. These 201 square foot rooms are each equipped with 18 to 21 forest green open-front, stadium-style lockers.

Team Room B
Separate from the general locker room with access from the hallway are Team Rooms C and D. These rooms are larger than those located within the general locker room, 735 square feet and 750 square feet, respectively, and feature 25 to 28 open-front, stadium-style lockers each. Team Rooms C and D also have their own restroom and shower facilities.

Team Room D
Each varsity team has been assigned a team room to use during its season, as will visiting teams on campus for competition.
Another component of the locker room renovation project was the creation of a laundry facility and officials’ locker room. This was accomplished in early March by reworking the two offices located in the basement hallway. Head softball coach Tony Campbell moved into the office adjacent to the locker room. His vacated office was then converted into a laundry room and officials’ locker room.
