Shannon Schalestock '09 won at #4 singles and #2 doubles Tuesday.

LYNCHBURG – Tennis wrapped up its regular season schedule on Tuesday, toppling host Randolph-Macon Woman’s College to push the Vixens’ overall season mark to 5-7 heading into the conference tournament.

Sweet Briar excelled in the doubles matches and went on to an equally as strong a performance in singles action. Blair Blincoe’s consecutive win streak continued as she took her match at #2 6-1,6-0.

The Vixens also shined in the exhibition matches. Junior Whitney Shaffer, playing in her first match since returning from an injury, took her match #8 singles 8-5.

Sweet Briar begins play at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships at Washington and Lee on Friday. Tournament action runs through the weekend.
