ROANOKE — Sweet Briar tennis continued Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action Saturday in Roanoke. The Vixens picked up wins at #1 doubles and #1 singels but could not topple the Maroons.

Vixens Virginia Edahl ’10 (Charlotte, NC/Providence) and Blair Blincoe ’10 (Vienna, VA/Norfolk Academy) took their match at #1 doubles. The two defeated Roanoke’s McGraw/Price by a score of 9-7. Edahl followed her doubles win with a win at #1 singles. She defeated Maria Migliarese by a score of 6-3, 4-6, 10-7.

“The team played well today. Without missing Molly for the match and losing Blair to an injury, I believe we could have taken the match 5-4,” commented coach Kelly Morrison after the match.

Sweet Briar is back in action tomorrow. The Vixens host Virginia Wesleyan College at noon.
