FLORIDA — Sweet Briar lacrosse, in Florida for spring break, fell to Kenyon Thursday, despite scoring a season-high 12 goals. Kenyon took the game 23-12.
Junior Ellie Donahue (Richmond, VA/Trinity Episcopal) led the Vixen attack with six goals. Senior Julie Sellers (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy) netted four. Emily Fitzpatrick ’07 (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy) stopped 24 shots in the game.
Fitzpatrick’s 20-plus saves performance was her second in two days. She also picked up 24 saves in the Vixens’ first game in Florida on Wednesday. The Vixens lost to Ithaca College 16-2 in that game as Sellers and Meredith Newman ’09 (Charlottesville, VA/Tandem) each had goals.
Sweet Briar returns to campus Sunday to take on North Carolina Wesleyan.
