Sweet Briar softball dropped both games of a doubleheader with non-conference Peace College Sunday. With the losses, by scores of 11-3 and 10-6, the Vixens' overall record evens at 3-3.

In game two, the Vixens battled to tie the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the fourth thanks to RBI singles from senior Meagan Chenault (Amherst, VA/Amherst County) and first-year Blair Mullally (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood). Chenault added another RBI in the Sweet Briar fifth to push the Vixens ahead 6-5 before the Pacers knocked in four with a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning.

Chenault led the Vixens on the day with a 4-for-8 performance. In addition to her three RBIs, Chenault scored two runs.

Sweet Briar is back in action at home tomorrow. The Vixens take on Salem College at 2 p.m.
