First-year swimmer Hannah Hesser (Richmond, VA/Trinity Episcopal) garnered all-conference honors Tuesday as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) named its All-ODAC Swimming Team.
The honor comes on the heals of Hessers’ performance at the 2007 ODAC/Atlantic States meet in which she captured second in the 100 Y. butterfly, third in the 500 Y. freestyle and fifth in the 200 Y. butterfly. In addition to swimming in four relay events, Hesser put forth the fastest 200 Y. freestyle time of the meet swimming the first leg of the 800 Y. freestyle relay.
After playing soccer this fall, Hesser hit the water in October, twice receiving ODAC Swimmer of the Week honors and breaking a school record in the 800 M. freestyle. Her record-breaking swim came Jan. 27 at Guilford College.
