SWEET BRIAR — The Girls and Women in Sports Clinic held this past Saturday at Sweet Briar brought 48 girls to campus to participate in different athletic activities. Participants were led by Vixen coaches and student-athletes as they rotated between dance, soccer, swimming, team building and tennis during the four-hour clinic.
Virginia Amateur Sports, Inc., in conjunction with area parks and recreation departments, the Girls Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council, the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and local corporations sponsored the annual Girls and Women in Sports Clinic. The clinics are held at five different area colleges each year on the first Saturday after National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
