Despite the snow and cold temperatures, Vixen sports are heating up this spring. Softball kicks off its season Saturday,Feb. 17 traveling to Chowan College. The team returns home on Sunday for its home opener, and the first home competition of the spring schedule. The doubleheader with Meredith College gets underway at 12:30 p.m.

Lacrosse and tennis get started a little later. Lacrosse’s first game is Tuesday, Feb. 27 as the Vixens host the University of Mary Washington. Tennis begins its schedule on the road at Hollins University Friday, March 2.
