Winston-Salem, NC - Vixen swimming returned to the pool in winning fashion Saturday, dominating host Salem by a score 101-18 and pulling out a close 63-57 win over Agnes Scott.
First-year Hannah Hesser (Richmond, VA/Trinity Episcopal) continued her winning from last semester, playing a large role in helping Sweet Briar pick up its two wins.
Individually, Hesser took first in the 200 freestyle, 200 butterfly and 500 freestyle, and swam a leg in Sweet Briar's winning 200 freestyle relay.
The Vixens also got first-place points from Stephanie Perks '09 (Warrenton, VA/Falquier) and Jennifer Milby '08 (Mechanicsville, VA/Lee-Davis). Perks and Milby took first and second, respectively in the 1000 freestyle, followed by Milby's first-place finish in the 100 backstroke.
Sweet Briar is back in action next Saturday, traveling to Greensboro to take on Guilford College and Catawba at 12 p.m. Saturday's meet is the last meet of the season for the Vixens before heading to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference/Atlantic States meet in February.
