Sweet Briar will host a Girls and Women in Sports clinic Saturday, Feb. 10 from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. This is the third year Sweet Briar has hosted the clinics, which are open to girls ages seven to 13.
Girls and Women in Sports clinics, organized by Virginia Amateur Sports (VAS), offer young girls the opportunity to learn and participate in a variety of sports led by college coaches and student-athletes. Dance, soccer, swimming, team building, and tennis will be offered this year at Sweet Briar.
Cost to attend is $10, which includes a clinic shirt and Girl Scouts patch, snacks, and door prizes. All participants must pre-register (online or by mail) by Feb. 5. No on-site registration will be available.
This is the ninth year for the Girls and Women in Sports clinics which are held simultaneously at Ferrum College, Hollins University, Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, Roanoke College, and Sweet Briar College.
