Sweet Briar College Fall Field Team riders
Jenny Walkiewicz,
Laurel Sanders, and coach
Angela MacFawn competed in the Farmington Hunter Pace Sunday, Nov. 5.
The pace was approximately four miles over tough terrain. The course consisted of two stream crossings and 17 jumps, including a drop jump. “I had a blast!” Laurel Sanders said as the team crossed the finish line.
The most entertaining event of the day was jumping a big log into a field of cows, cantering through the cows, and jumping a coop back out of the field. The team overcame missing the card pickup at the halfway point by being five minutes under the optimum time to finish in third place.
