“Blue Ridge Excursions,” a Blue Ridge Public Television series that had planned to feature Sweet Briar on tonight’s episode has postponed that show until next week.
It works out well, however, because instead of one Thursday night showing, the program featuring Sweet Briar will now air at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12.
“Excursions” Producer Tom Landon.According to the station’s Web site, “Blue Ridge Excursions” is a “weekly trip throughout our region, connecting the people of Southwestern, Southside and Central Virginia to what is happening in their neighboring communities, and highlighting points of interest within driving distance.”
Producer Tom Landon recently visited Sweet Briar, and shot footage of the campus, Sweet Briar Museum and the Founders’ Day procession. For the program, he also spoke with Christian Carr, director of the Sweet Briar Museum; Jonathan Green, dean of the College; and Caroline Chappell ’09.
