The Sweet Briar College Friends of the Library will host former Department of State staff member John E. Marsh as its fall meeting speaker. The talk will begin 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 in the Cochran Library Browsing Room, and will be followed by the fall business meeting of the Friends. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Marsh was a member of the State Department staff for 20 years. His assignments included posts in New Delhi, India; Amman, Jordan; Colombo, Ceylon; and Kuwait. His talk will cover the present Middle East situation.
