A “tasty ball of choreographic fire” is headed for Sweet Briar College with landfall expected in mid-November. Called as much by the Philadelphia City Paper, the Koresh Dance Company will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 in the Murchison Lane Auditorium at Babcock Fine Arts Center.
The concert is the second event in the College’s 2006-07 Babcock Season.

Shelbie Filson, SBC box office manager, saw the troupe perform in New York City in January and was equally impressed. “Koresh Dance Company is cutting edge and electrifying, with unique choreography,” she said.
“The dancers put everything they have into their performance, invigorating the audience. Their endurance, power, and skill are so impressive — it’s like watching pure energy on stage.”
The company also will conduct a master class at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13 in Williams Gymnasium. Although participation is by invitation only, the public is welcome to observe.
Seating for the dance concert is reserved and tickets go on sale Monday, Oct. 30. Tickets are free for SBC community members; non-SBC prices are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students and free for children younger than 12.
