Sweet Briar College’s Janet Lowrey Gager Community Concert Series will break from its usual noontime format to present Russian music at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 in Memorial Chapel.

Soprano Elizabeth Larabell, a student of Marcia Thom at Randolph-Macon Woman's College, will perform several songs in Russian. Performers also include baritone Jonathan Green, piano and violin duo Nicholas and Jana Ross, guitarist Michael Havens, and pianists Rebecca McCord, Kathryn Whittemore and Laura Delafield.

The Janet Lowrey Gager Community Concert Series is made possible by the support of Forrest Gager, in memory of his wife, Janet, who served as Sweet Briar’s director of public relations. The series, which is free and open to the public, features music from around the world.
