Sweet Briar, along with other colleges and universities throughout Virginia, will mark Virginia Private College Week from Monday, July 31 through Saturday, Aug. 5 by welcoming prospective students for tours and special information sessions on campus.

The sessions for the students and their families will be held 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily through Friday. Only the morning session will be offered Saturday. Optional tours of the Riding Center also will be offered 11:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Virginia Private College Week is an annual open house program held at 24 private colleges and universities that are members of the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia. Each college and university will host two opportunities each day for students to tour campus and attend a brief curriculum/program overview, including an admissions and financial aid session.

Prospectives who visit at least three participating colleges also will receive three application fee waivers.
