Four Vixens were named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference Team, voted on by the ODAC coaches.
Seniors Julie Sellers (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy) and Jenn Wiley (Williamsburg, VA/Jamestown) were named to the second team. Sellers led the Vixens in scoring this spring with 39 goals and finished third in the conference in goals scored, averaging almost three per game. She finished her Sweet Briar career with 92 goals and 17 assists.
Wiley led a young Vixen defense in 2006, adding 35 ground balls this season to round out her four years with 192 pickups. Wiley’s aggressive play helped the Vixens once again finish near the top in the conference in caused turnovers.
Sophomores Ellie Donahue (Richmond, VA/Trinity Episcopal) and Sarah Ross Stewart (Lexington, VA/Virginia Episcopal) received honorable mention honors. Donahue completed her second season in midfield for Sweet Briar with 33 goals and 13 assists. She was a factor on both sides of the ball, winning a team-leading 36 draw controls and finishing second on the team in caused turnovers.
Stewart averaged 1.57 assists and 4.14 points per game to help Sweet Briar finished in the top-five in both categories. She was second on the team with 37 goals and compiled a team-best 21 assists.
