Leigh Darrell was recently named young alumna director by the Sweet Briar College board of directors. Darrell, who will graduate from Sweet Briar on May 13 with a Bachelor of Arts in government, will serve a three-year term and will be a member of the educational programs committee.

“I think it will be interesting to see Sweet Briar from the business point of view, versus the student point of view,” the Chestertown, Md. resident said. “I know we have some really neat things coming up that will be fun to be involved in.”

After graduation, Darrell will spend the summer working as a staff associate for the Women’s Campaign Forum, a Washington, D.C.-based organization which coaches and encourages female political candidates.
