Vixens End Season on the Road
BALTIMORE, Md. — Sweet Briar finished up the 2006 lacrosse regular season Saturday on the road at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. The Vixens fell 21-14 in the match to end the season with a 5-9 mark.

Sweet Briar erased an early 5-1 Gator lead in the first half to pull within one at 6-5 with 13:16 remaining. Down 11-8 at the break, the Vixens match Notre Dame goal for goal to start the second half, as each team put two on the board in the first five minutes. The Gators added eight more goals in the second half.

Ellie Donahue ’08 (Richmond,VA/Trinity Episcopal) and Julie Sellers ’06 (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy) led the Vixens offensively with six and five goals, respectively. Sarah Ross Stewart ’08 (Lexington, VA/Virginia Episcopal) led all players with five assists.
