Those who were unable to obtain tickets for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s lecture and book signing at Sweet Briar College can still hear what he has to say on "The Power of Law." The Lynchburg talk radio station WBRG, AM 1050, plans to air the speech live at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 27.
In "The Power of Law," Kennedy will discuss the role that the American legal system plays in preserving our natural environment for future generations, and how individuals can support the system.
WBRG’s Brent Epperson said he considers airing Kennedy’s lecture a public service. Because of strong community interest in the event, which is being held in Murchison Lane Auditorium — Sweet Briar’s largest venue — free tickets were distributed well in advance of Kennedy’s appearance.
However, there is waiting list for tickets that become available through cancellations. Those interested in adding their names may send an e-mail to kennedyeventinfo@sbc.edu or call (434) 381-6583. Please include your name, mailing address, phone number and the number of tickets you wish to order. You will receive a phone call if tickets become available.
