Greensboro, NC – Sweet Briar swimming was back in the pool Saturday, facing Guilford College and Greensboro College. The Vixens swept the meet, defeating Guilford 71-49 and Greensboro 68-54. With the wins, Sweet Briar finishes the regular season 2-4 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and 7-4 overall.
Sweet Briar continued its medley relay success, Saturday, with the team of Jennifer Milby ’08 (Mechanicsville, VA/Lee-Davis), Kelly Cuddihy ’09 (Williamsburg, VA/Lafayette), Sarah Hall ’09 (Chester, VA/Thomas Dale), and Kate Lydin ’09 (Mercer Island, WA/Mercer Island) taking the 400 Y. medley relay.
Cuddihy finished with three wins, touching the wall first in both the 100 Y. and 200 Y. breaststrokes, in addition to her relay win. Milby and Joanna Meade ’06 (King George, VA/King George) finished one and two, respectively, as Sweet Briar swept the 200 Y. backstroke.
“The girls raced well and it was a great way to finish off our dual meet season with two wins,” said coach Jason Gallaher.
The Vixens travel to Radford University Feb. 17-19 for the ODAC/Atlantic States Championships.
