Virginia C. “Didi” Robinson '06 will present her senior directorial project, “Silent Heroes” by playwright Linda Escalera Baggs, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13. Baggs will be on hand to discuss her work after Friday's production.
The show will be held in the Babcock Fine Arts Center Studio Theater. It is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and reservations are required.
Robinson directs fellow students in Baggs’ drama, which revolves around the wives of six U.S. Marine fighter pilots. After a midnight phone call the women learn there was a plane crash. Now they must wait to find out whose husband won't be coming home.
The play is based on a true story told to Baggs by Robinson's father about a training accident on the aircraft carrier on which he was stationed.
