LEXINGTON, VA – The regionally ranked Washington and Lee University Generals handed Sweet Briar a 5-0 conference loss on Tuesday, dropping Sweet Briar’s overall record to 4-9-1.

First-year keeper Kristen Johnson (Federal Way, WA/Decatur) stopped six shots in the first half and 11 in the second. Johnson has saved 10 or more in all nine conference matches for the Vixens this season.

“There were parts of the match that our team organization was fantastic and we really want to continue that trend going in a very important weekend match with Averett,” said coach Paul Shaw.

Sweet Briar takes on Averett University Sunday at noon.
