EMORY, VA – Sweet Briar volleyball fell in three Friday to host Emory & Henry College by scores of 10-30, 12-30, 16-30.

Without the services of leading attacker Rebecca Martin ’09 (Charleston, WV/Capital City), injured in Sweet Briar’s last match, first-year Meagan Bell (Madison Heights, VA/Amherst) stepped up to lead the Vixens in kills. Sophomore setter Jade Bomar (Monroe, VA/Amherst) finished with 11 assists and Dori Rucker ’09 (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy) played strong on defense with 8 digs.

Sweet Briar plays its third of four straight road games Tuesday at Mary Baldwin College.
