SWEET BRIAR, VA – Sweet Briar Volleyball picked up its first win of the season Friday downing visiting Salem College in three (30-20, 31-29, 30-20).

Laurel Watts '08(Keysville, VA/Randolph-Henry) led the Sweet Briar charge, racking up seven services aces in the match. First-years Brittney Berry (Tappahannock, VA/Essex) and Rebecca Martin (Charleston, WV/Capital City) led Sweet Briar in kills, helping Jade Bomar '08 (Monroe, VA/Amherst) pick up 17 assists.

Sweet Briar looks to continue its win streak Wednesday when the team travels to Eastern Mennonite.
