LYNCHBURG, VA – Sweet Briar field hockey played its first of five straight road games, Tuesday, suffering an 8-0 loss from pre-season favorite Lynchburg College. First-year Blair Sutton (Richmond, VA/Steward) played well defensively for the Vixens, but Sweet Briar could not stop the Hornets’ attack. Jenn Wiley ’06 (Williamsburg, VA/Jamestown) notched 16 saves in the game, bringing her season total to 101.

Sweet Briar continues road play this weekend. The Vixens travel to Cabrini College Friday for a 4:30 p.m. contest, and then face Bryn Mawr at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
