VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Vixens of Sweet Briar College lost in three games (12-30, 15-30, 11-30) Saturday, on the road at Virginia Wesleyan College.

Sweet Briar played the Marlins point for point early in game two. The Vixens led at the 4-3 mark then trialed only by three at 10-13 before Virginia Wesleyan went on a 7-3 run to the victory. First-years Rebecca Martin (Charleston, WV/Capital City) and Meagan Bell (Madison Heights, VA/Amherst) were defensive leaders in the match.

The Vixens take a break from conference competition this week, taking on Salem College Friday at 7 p.m.
