SWEET BRIAR, VA – Visiting Lynchburg College defeated Sweet Briar in three (19-30, 5-30, 19-30) games Tuesday evening. With the loss, Sweet Briar falls to 0-3 in the conference.

First-year Rebecca Martin (Charleston, WV/Capital City) added five kills to her team-leading season total. Martin, Jade Bomar ’08 (Monroe, VA/Amherst) and Nicole Traylor ’06 (King William, VA/King William) led the Vixens defensively.

Sweet Briar hits to the road Saturday, traveling to Virginia Wesleyan for a 2 p.m. game with the Marlins.
