SWEET BRIAR, VA – Sweet Briar defended several kill attempts from Randolph-Macon on Saturday, but could not stop the Yellow Jackets. Macon won the match in three (10-30,17-30,18-30).

First-year Meagan Bell (Madison Heights, VA/Amherst) led the Vixens defensively, finishing in double digits for digs. Sophomores Jade Bomar (Monroe, VA/Amherst) and Laurel Watts (Keysville, VA/Randolph-Henry) also played strong defensively. On the offensive side, first-year Dori Rucker (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy) led Sweet Briar in kills.

Sweet Briar takes on Lynchburg at home on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
