The Honors Committee at Sweet Briar College has named 22 Honors Scholars for the 2005-2006 academic year.

Honors Scholarships recognize excellence in academic work and contributions to college and community life by Sweet Briar’s most motivated and highest achieving students. Recipients are selected each spring from the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes. Students are chosen based on written essays, faculty recommendations, and academic record, including the breadth and scope of the course of study.

Class of 2008 recipients are: Natalie Batman, Kristin Chapdelaine, Elizabeth Gold, Rachel Gotwalt, Fatima Lbida, Shanna Ryan, Laeun Sung, and Lauren Whitney Towler.

Class of 2007 recipients are: Kelsey Jeffers, Eleanor O’Connor, Anne Proctor, Maggie Saylor, Julia Stanley, Jennifer Summerfield, and Stacy Toup.

Class of 2006 recipients are: Kerry Buxton, Colleen Karaffa, Jeanette Kotonias, Sarah Martinez, Jessica Mercier, Christina Shaheen Moosa, and Karliana Sakas.
