Gadikian, Fitzpatrick Named to Lacrosse All-Tournament Team
Sophomores Vicky Gadikian (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) and Emily Fitzpatrick (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy) were named to the 2005 ODAC All-Tournament Team, announced Sunday at the conclusion of the ODAC Lacrosse Championship.

Gadikian played strong defense in the tournament for Sweet Briar, coming up with some crucial defensive stops against Lynchburg and Washington and Lee. She collected 10 groundballs in the Vixen’s two tournament games to finish the season third on the team with 41.

Fitzpatrick picked up 20 saves against Lynchburg and 16 saves against the Generals, stopping 36 of 63 shots between the pipes for Sweet Briar. She stopped 166 shots this season.

“Our defense down the stretch made huge improvements, which can be contributed to Vicky and Emily’s aggressive play,” commented coach Ackerman. “Their determination was contagious among the entire team.”
