Due to unforeseen circumstances, artist and feminist Miriam Schapiro will be unable to lecture on Friday, April 1 on "An Artist Talks About Quilts." Her visit was part of the 2004-05 Art Lectures Series sponsored by the Lectures and Events Committee of Sweet Briar College in conjunction with the Friends of Art and Friends of Library annual meeting.

Schapiro's speaking slot will be filled by Eric Casey, SBC assistant professor of classics, philosophy, and religion, who will deliver his Honors Colloquia talk, "Collecting the Cosmos: Libraries in the Ancient World."

The talk remains at 8 p.m. in the Florence Elston Inn and Conference Center with a dessert reception following the lecture.
