Sweet Briar Museum Ceremony to Honor Ann Marshall Whitley
In conjunction with Alumnae Council Weekend, the Sweet Briar Museum will dedicate a gallery to Ann Marshall Whitley '47 in a ceremony at the museum on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 2:30 p.m. Whitley is founding director and curator of Sweet Briar Museum and College Properties and is active in many Amherst-area organizations including the Amherst Women's Club and the Historical Society.

The gallery will be used for student-curated changing exhibitions of decorative arts collections. Alumnae collections of decorative arts will also be displayed, in addition to traveling exhibitions related to the college's holdings.

SBC President Elisabeth Muhlenfeld will speak at the event, which will also feature a ribbon cutting and brief speeches by various people in Whitley's life.
