VB Faces R-MWC and Ferrum in Final Day of Maroon Classic
Volleyball wrapped up play at the Maroon Classic on Saturday with games against Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and Ferrum College. The Vixens lost both games, falling 30-19, 30-17, 30-18 to R-MWC and 30-21, 30-17, 30-20 to Ferrum.

First-year Katie McIntyre (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass) led the Vixen defense with 18 digs against R-MWC and added nine against Ferrum to finish the day with 27 digs. Sophomore attacker Meagan Bell (Madison Heights, VA/Amherst County) had 10 digs in Sweet Briar’s second match.

The Vixens open conference play on Tuesday, hosting Eastern Mennonite University at 6:30 p.m.
