SWEET BRIAR, Va. — The first-place match of both Flight A and B will pit Hollins teammates against one another, as the second day of play at the Virginia Women’s College Tennis Championship gets underway Sunday.
Flight A will feature Hollins’ Maggie Bai and Barrett Jones. Both reached the final match with straight-set wins in the first two rounds. Hollin’s Candice Dalton and Robinette square off in the final match of Flight B.
Sweet Briar’s Cheryl Seaver '09 finds herself in the first-place match of Flight C, after battling Andrea Moreau of Hollins to win the best two out of three in a super tiebreaker in the third set. Seaver faces Hollin’s Christine Han tomorrow morning for first-place.
In Flight D, Michayla Bonds '10 of Sweet Briar takes on Amy Blouet of Hollins.
All singles finals and consolation finals will be played at Sweet Briar College at 10 a.m. Sunday. Doubles semifinals will follow.
