LEXINGTON, Va. — Sweet Briar Field Hockey took on Washington and Lee University Wednesday under the lights on the W&L turf. The host Generals won the match 9-0. Sophomores Sarah Goldstein (Richmond, VA/Trinity Episcopal) and Blair Sutton (Richmond, VA/Steward) and first-year Sara Sheppard (Virginia Beach, VA/Floyd Kellam) each picked up defensive saves in the game.

The Vixens return home on Tuesday, taking on non-conference Mary Baldwin College. The 4:30 p.m. contest is a rescheduled game from the Sept. 1 rainout.
