LYNCHBURG – Sweet Briar gave up three goals Saturday as host Lynchburg College defeated the Vixens 3-0 in conference soccer action in Lynchburg. The first of the Hornets’ three goals in the game came on a penalty kick in the 24th minute.

“For the first time this season Sweet Briar soccer is healthy. The first half was the best 45 minutes that I have seen Sweet Briar play,” commented coach Paul Shaw on his team’s effort against Lynchburg.

The Vixens return to campus Tuesday to take on Washington and Lee University at 4 p.m.
