Sweet Briar softball lost both games of a doubleheader Monday, 12-2 and 14-1 to Southern Virginia University. Lindsey Nash ’05 (Amherst, VA/Amherst County) and Meagan Chenault ’07 (Amherst, VA/Amherst County) led the Vixens in hitting. Nash was 3-6 on the night with a run scored; Chenault went 3-4 with an RBI. First-year Whitney Shaffer (Norfolk, VA/Maury) picked up a stolen base and scored a run.

The Vixens return home April 21, for their last game of the season. They take on Southern Virginia in a rematch at 6 p.m.
