St. Petersburg, FL—On the strength of 9 goals from first-year attackers Ellie Donahue (Richmond, VA/Trinity Episcopal) and Bethany Bressan (Charlottesville, VA/STAB), the Sweet Briar Vixens upped their record to 4-2 overall. Donahue scored 5, and Bressan 3 with 4 assists. In all, 6 SBC players either scored or assisted. Goalkeeper Emily Fitzpatrick '07 (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy) turned back 11 shots as the Vixens completed their spring break training trip.
SBC coach Missy Ackerman said, "We started slow, but picked it up quickly and got back on track. At one point WNE went 25 minutes without scoring."
Sweet Briar plays ODAC opponent Guilford College at home on March 25 at 4 pm.
